Audrey-Ève Goulet is a Montreal-based abstract painter who has been developing her practice since 2020. She creates abstract, colourful, and captivating works that tell a story.
I never start a piece with a specific image in mind of what will end up on the canvas at the end of the process. I let myself be guided by the process, which also allows everyone to have their own interpretation of it.
For this piece, my inspiration was an atmosphere, a moment frozen in time. I wanted to represent, in an abstract way, that sense of well-being that follows physical activity: ice cream at sunset after a bike ride with friends, or the sense of accomplishment from a “runner’s high.” It is through warm colours, rounded shapes, and gentle movements that I sought to artistically capture this atmosphere.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to Passion for Paws, a program dedicated to finding a loving, permanent home for every dog in its care.
We are happy to support this organization, chosen by Audrey-Ève, which is particularly close to her heart.
