Henri Do does TCBR 2022
Week Seven | August 11, 2022
12 200km, 60 days, 14 hours and 55 minutes. It's done. It's over. Wow. The goal is reached, and not in any way.
Hats off to you man. You make us proud, on a whole new level. You've managed to overcome obstacles without ever giving up. You faced many, but none of them got the better of you.
Many will be inspired by what you have accomplished in many ways. Thank you for making us dream like this.
Will we do it again next year? What's next?

Week Six | August 1st, 2022
Who would have thought that Nova Scotia would hold so many surprises for our athlete? The 11,000 or so kilometers will have taken care of the rear triangle of Henri's bike, forcing him to set foot on the ground in the small town of Pleasant Bay located on the north shore of Cape Breton.
The battle raged at the Argon 18 HQ in Montreal. Extraordinary coordination allowed Henri to receive a new bike after nine days; nine days of rest that benefited the ultra-cyclist, allowing him to reconnect with his passion for ice cream.

Week Six | July 29, 2022
Back on the mainland, it's time to attack Nova Scotia and the famous Cape Breton that makes so many Canadian cyclists dream. Surprise on the east coast when Henri realizes that the roads are mainly made of gravel.
In addition to being slowed down by the poor quality of the roads, Henri hears a noise that could be described as "not very reassuring" coming from the back of his bike. Billions of Blistering Barnacles ! A crack appeared ! An Allen key and a roll of tape: that's enough to keep going, but for how long?

Week Six | July 26, 2022
New Brunswick is quite charming. Sunshine on the menu. It's a change of sceneries compared to the Prairies! Henri is not complaining! Starting from Petit-Rocher, Henri finds himself just before the Confederation Bridge at the end of the day, which will allow him to cross to Prince Edward Island.
430 kilometers have been added to his journey so far. Next step: the tour of PEI, hopefully with a good tailwind!

Week Five | July 24, 2022
Now that Gaspé Peninsula tour is well completed, Henri is quickly heading for New Brunswick, one of the last provinces he will cross during the adventure. At the beginning of his day, a strong headwind bothered him. This massive wind slowly turned into a storm, which forced him to stop for six hours in Campbellton. After this long interruption, Henri resumes the road to stop just before the city of Bathurst. At the end of the day, he had clocked up 300 kilometers.

Week Five | July 22, 2022
Henri starts from Saint-Simon to begin his route to the Gaspé Peninsula today. He was lucky enough to have a huge tailwind at the start of his day, which comforted him and gave him the spirit to push the pedals. He was delighted with the weather; no rain (for once) and bright sunshine. Finally! Henri even had the chance to observe the Northern Lights during the night. A real show was taking shape in front of him. In the end, 625 kilometers were covered. Impressive!

Week Five | July 19-20, 2022
Today, once again alongside his friend Krystel, Henri continues his journey and covers the 515 kilometers that link Magog to the Bas-Saint-Laurent. Henri even allows himself a few stops in stores along the way. The speed of his progression is less of a concern now.
He will then take the road to Gaspésie, alone, to find back his cruising rhythm.

Week Five | July 17, 2022
Henri is back on the road after his emotional and resourcing stay in Montreal. He gets on his bike with Krystel and Olivier, heading for Magog!
223 km are accomplished, but Henri is behind schedule because of some mechanical problems that are slowing down his progress. The company of his two friends distracts him and allows him to add a little bit of colour to his journey.

Week Four | July 15-16, 2022
Toronto-Montreal, 26 hours, 651 km. Henri arrived home on Saturday, July 16, late in the day. It is not without emotion that the passage home is done; the arrival of Henri on the island was very awaited. Many were there to welcome him and cheer him on. Some, more adventurous, even got on their bikes to follow him for a few kilometers.
When you think about it, a very large proportion of the road has been covered. All that's left is reaching Newfoundland and it'll be done deal. Continue to make us proud Henri. You're the best.

All right, Henri's bike is back in order. Great. His derailleur is now in order. But to do so, Henri had to ride through the night and eat up the kilometers to get there in time.
In the end, 375 kilometers are accomplished in one day. A great progress that allows Henri to continue his progress through Ontario.

Guess what! Henri's two-speed bike has now become a one-speed bike! The last 80 kilometers were done on a single gear. Ouch.
Despite this, 226 km are completed. Henri was offered a cold beer by a boater he met on his way. This colourful encounter makes him happy!
